The goal of Conscious Consumerism is to provide people an opportunity to purchase products that are benefiting people and the environment.

In doing so, you make a vote with your money and resources on what practices are acceptable in your community and the world.

When you make a conscious effort to understand the "who, what, and where" of the product you are purchasing, you become a player in a larger process.
You have the ability to change unfair systems in your country and communities beyond your national voting power.
You send a message to large corporations, governments, and the world that things have to change.

Making a choice to buy local, organic, and fair trade, puts the world closer to ending many of the imbalances like hunger, poverty, and environmental destruction.

Being a conscious consumer and with your purchase of local, organic, and fair trade you support:

the growth and sustainability of your local economy
small business and small scale production
more human powered production with less resource waste and consumption
protecting our environment and health
traditional cultures and crafts
